Prime & Prime Plus — Exclusive

Your portfolio.
Your advance.

Every credit you earn goes into your portfolio — units in a SEC-registered Nigerian Money Market Fund, managed by a licensed Nigerian fund manager. Real NAV appreciation. Real regulation. And it backs your Portfolio Advance, which you can access at checkout. No credit check. No forms. No interest. No repayment obligation. Your available advance grows automatically as you transact.

"Not a loan. Not a credit line.
Your own portfolio, accessible at checkout."

Portfolio Advance is not a personal loan. There is no debt, no interest, and no repayment obligation. When you select Portfolio Advance at checkout, Anakin settles the merchant from its own working capital facility on your behalf. Your outstanding advance sits dormant — your portfolio keeps earning NAV appreciation, your advance ceiling rises automatically as your portfolio grows, and you repay only if and when you choose to.

Keep your streak. Unlock your advance.

Portfolio Advance is not a separate application. It activates automatically when your streak reaches 30 days. There is nothing to apply for — the platform upgrades you.

Grace Days: You receive 2 grace days per 30-day cycle. If you miss a transaction window, a grace day activates automatically, extending your deadline by 48 hours. Miss two in a row and your streak breaks — but advance access continues for 7 more days. Rebuild to 30 days to reactivate.

The more you earn, the more you can access.

Your advance ceiling is calculated from your portfolio value — the number of credits you hold multiplied by the current NAV per unit of the underlying fund. Every credit earned from a transaction immediately expands your ceiling. No recalculation delay. No manual update. And as the NAV rises daily, your ceiling rises with it — automatically, without any action from you.

70%
Prime (Day 30+)
Access up to 70% of your portfolio value at checkout. Your portfolio stays completely untouched. No interest. No repayment schedule. The advance sits dormant as long as you like.
Zero interest
100%
Prime Plus (Day 90+)
Access up to 100% of your portfolio value — the full worth of what you've built. No interest. No repayment obligation. Your ceiling rises automatically as NAV appreciates.
Zero interest
Prime (Day 30+)
70%
of your portfolio value — zero interest, voluntary repayment
Prime Plus (Day 90+)
100%
of your portfolio value — zero interest, voluntary repayment
Example — Prime user (NAV ₦1/unit) Portfolio balance: 1,000 credits
Portfolio value: ₦1,000 (1,000 units × ₦1 NAV)
Advance ceiling (70%): ₦700 (70% of ₦1,000)
Available to access: ₦700 (nothing outstanding yet)
Example — Prime Plus user (NAV ₦1/unit) Portfolio balance: 2,000 credits
Portfolio value: ₦2,000
Advance ceiling (100%): ₦2,000 (full portfolio value)
Available to access: ₦2,000 (nothing outstanding yet)
Your portfolio unit value tracks the NAV of the underlying SEC-registered Money Market Fund, which accrues yield daily. As the NAV rises — typical in the current Nigerian rate environment — every unit you hold becomes worth more, your portfolio value increases, and your advance ceiling expands automatically. Past fund performance is not a guarantee of future returns.

Access your portfolio. Not from it.

At checkout, you choose your payment source. When you choose Portfolio Advance, your wallet balance stays untouched and your Credits portfolio stays untouched — only your outstanding advance increases. You still earn Credits on the transaction.

1
Initiate a payment in the Anakin app
At fuel, in-app digital services, or any Anakin-enabled merchant — proceed to checkout as normal.
2
Select "Portfolio Advance" as your payment source
Instead of paying from your wallet cash balance, select Portfolio Advance. Your available advance is shown. As long as the payment amount is within your available ceiling, you can proceed.
3
Transaction settles — portfolio stays intact
The merchant is paid normally — they see no difference. Your cash balance is untouched. Your portfolio is untouched. Your outstanding advance increases by the payment amount. And you still earn Credits on the transaction.
You select Portfolio Advance at checkout (₦5,000)
Anakin settles the merchant from its working capital facility
Your cash balance: unchanged
Your portfolio: unchanged
Your outstanding advance: +₦5,000
Credits earned on the transaction: +850 cr added to portfolio
You earn Credits on Portfolio Advance payments. The same earn rate applies whether you pay from your wallet or your advance. Every transaction builds the portfolio regardless of how you pay.

Your advance ceiling rises automatically. No action required.

There is no required repayment. Your advance sits dormant as long as you like. As you keep transacting, your portfolio grows — new Credits earned, daily NAV appreciation — and the outstanding advance represents a smaller proportion of your growing ceiling. You can also repay voluntarily at any time.

A
Keep transacting — the natural path
Every transaction adds Credits to your portfolio. As the portfolio grows through new Credits earned and daily NAV appreciation, your advance ceiling expands. What was 100% of your portfolio today might be 60% of it next month — purely through portfolio growth, with no repayment at all. The outstanding stays the same; the ceiling above it grows. This is the intended mechanism.
B
Voluntary repayment from your wallet cash
If you want to reduce your outstanding advance, you can repay any amount from your wallet cash at any time. Open the Credits tab, tap "Repay," and enter any amount up to your outstanding balance. The outstanding reduces immediately and your available advance expands. There is no minimum amount and no obligation to repay at all.
No interest. No payment schedule. No forced liquidation. Your advance never triggers forced redemption of your portfolio. The advance sits dormant for as long as you need — months or years — and your ceiling continues to rise with your portfolio value.

Convert your portfolio to cash — on your terms.

Liquidation is a voluntary action. When you want cash instead of portfolio value, you can convert credits directly to your wallet at the current NAV per unit. Anakin pre-funds redemptions from working capital — proceeds typically appear in your wallet within 1–2 business days as the fund processes the settlement.

What you can liquidate: You may only liquidate credits that are not serving as backing for your outstanding advance. If you have no outstanding advance, you can liquidate your entire portfolio. If you have an outstanding advance, the minimum portfolio value required to cover it must remain.
Example — liquidation with outstanding advance (Prime, 70%) Portfolio: 1,500 credits @ ₦1 = ₦1,500
Outstanding advance: ₦500
Min. portfolio required: ₦500 ÷ 0.70 = 714 credits
Max. liquidatable: 1,500 − 714 = 786 credits
Cash received: ₦786
The action is labelled Liquidate in the app — not "Sell" or "Withdraw." When you liquidate, credits are removed from your portfolio and the equivalent naira value is credited to your wallet.

Breaking your streak pauses new advances — it doesn't erase your balance.

If your streak breaks, your advance does not disappear. Here is exactly what happens:

1
Streak breaks
Your tier drops to Standard. New access to Portfolio Advance is blocked. Your outstanding advance remains — it does not accelerate and there are no penalties. Your portfolio continues to accrue Credits on any transactions you make, which continues to grow your ceiling naturally.
2
7-day grace window
You have 7 days from the moment your streak breaks to rebuild it. During this window, you can still access Portfolio Advance. Make at least one qualifying transaction within 7 days and continue rebuilding toward Day 30 and your tier restores.
3
Grace window expires
After 7 days without a qualifying transaction, new access to Portfolio Advance is suspended. Your outstanding advance and portfolio remain exactly as they are — no penalties, no forced liquidation. Rebuild your streak to 30 days and Portfolio Advance reactivates.
Your portfolio is never forcibly liquidated. A streak break or extended inactivity does not trigger automatic redemption of your Credits. Your advance sits dormant indefinitely. Your portfolio keeps earning NAV appreciation. Rebuild your streak when you're ready.

Common questions.

Is this a loan?
No. Portfolio Advance is not a loan. There is no debt, no interest, no repayment schedule, and no payment obligation whatsoever. Anakin settles the merchant on your behalf using its own working capital facility. Your outstanding advance simply represents the amount Anakin has settled for you. You can repay voluntarily at any time — or never. No collection, no penalties, no lender relationship.
Is there any interest?
No. Portfolio Advance carries zero interest at both Prime and Prime Plus tiers. There is no interest charge on any outstanding advance at any time.
Do I have to repay my advance?
No. There is no repayment obligation. Your advance sits dormant for as long as you need — weeks, months, years. Your advance ceiling rises automatically as your portfolio grows through NAV appreciation and new Credits earned. You can repay voluntarily from your wallet cash at any time if you want to expand your available advance, but there is no requirement to do so.
Does my portfolio get touched when I use Portfolio Advance?
No. Your portfolio balance is completely untouched while you have an outstanding advance. The portfolio backs the advance — but credits are not deducted or locked when you access it. You continue to earn and compound on your full portfolio even while an outstanding advance exists.
What happens if my portfolio value falls below my outstanding advance?
Your advance ceiling recalculates after every transaction. If your portfolio value falls, your available advance may drop — but the system never forces a reduction or penalties. If a recalculation would push your available advance to zero, new access is paused until your portfolio value grows again or you voluntarily repay. Your outstanding advance is never accelerated or called in this scenario.
Can I repay part of my outstanding advance?
Yes. Voluntary repayment from your wallet cash can be any amount up to your full outstanding advance. There is no minimum repayment. Partial repayments reduce the outstanding immediately and expand your available advance accordingly.
How is liquidation different from using Portfolio Advance?
Using Portfolio Advance means Anakin settles the merchant on your behalf — your credits stay in the portfolio and your outstanding advance increases. Liquidation means you convert credits to wallet cash — your portfolio balance decreases and you receive naira. Liquidation is a separate voluntary action you initiate from the portfolio view, not an automatic payment mechanism.
How is my portfolio value calculated, and can it fall?
Your portfolio value is the number of Credits units you hold multiplied by the current NAV (net asset value per unit) of the underlying fund — a SEC-registered Nigerian Money Market Fund managed by a licensed fund manager. The NAV accrues yield daily — in practice it rises consistently in the current Nigerian rate environment, though past performance is not a guarantee of future returns. When the NAV rises, every unit you hold becomes worth more and your advance ceiling expands automatically.
Do I earn Credits on Portfolio Advance payments?
Yes. The same earn rate applies regardless of whether you pay from your wallet cash or your advance. Every qualifying transaction earns Credits at the standard rate. Spending via Portfolio Advance still grows the portfolio that backs it.
