Anakin Network Services Ltd — Portfolio Advance Terms

These terms form part of and are subject to the Anakin Master Terms of Service and the Anakin Credits Terms.

1. What Portfolio Advance Is

Portfolio Advance is a deferred settlement facility. When you choose Portfolio Advance at checkout, The Anakin Network Services Ltd (RC: 9266503) pays the merchant on your behalf, and your outstanding advance increases by that amount. Your outstanding advance is the total Anakin has paid for you under this facility and you have not yet settled.

Portfolio Advance is not a personal loan. It does not involve a third-party lender and is not reported to credit bureaus. It cannot be withdrawn as cash and can only be used for purchases at Anakin-enabled merchants and for Anakin digital services.

2. Who Can Use It

Portfolio Advance is available to any member who has an open Portfolio Position. There is no application, credit check, streak or tier requirement. Your membership tier affects only how much cashback you receive and has no effect on Portfolio Advance.

3. Advance Limit

Your advance limit is 100% of the value of your open Portfolio Positions, meaning what you added plus what each position has added so far, under the Anakin Credits Terms. The limit is recalculated as positions grow, open and end.

Only Portfolio Positions count towards your limit. Cashback Credits and purchase growth do not secure a Portfolio Advance, are never locked by one, and do not increase your limit.

If your limit falls below what you owe, for example because a position has ended, your existing advance is not accelerated or penalised. You simply cannot take new advances until your limit is above what you owe.

4. Interest and Fees

There is no interest, origination fee, service fee or penalty on Portfolio Advance. The 0.5% fee on adding money to your portfolio is a separate fee described in the Anakin Credits Terms.

5. Repayment and Settlement

There is no repayment schedule and you do not have to make payments. You may repay any amount from your wallet at any time, with no minimum. Repaying reduces what you owe and increases your available limit straight away.

If an advance secured by a Portfolio Position is still outstanding when that position reaches the end of its 3-month term, the part of the advance secured by that position is settled from the position’s principal, and anything left over is paid to your wallet. The amount the position has added is always paid to you in full. Where you hold several open positions, your outstanding advance is allocated across them starting with the oldest, each up to its own principal.

6. Portfolio Positions Are Locked

A Portfolio Position cannot be converted or withdrawn before the end of its term, whether or not you have an advance outstanding. Your Cashback Credits can be converted to cash at any time and are not affected by an outstanding advance.

7. Credits and Purchase Growth on Advance Purchases

You receive your normal cashback on purchases paid with Portfolio Advance. Purchases paid with Portfolio Advance do not start purchase growth, because no wallet cash was spent.

8. Suspension

Anakin may suspend new advances, without affecting what you already owe, if your account is suspended, if required by law or regulation, or if Anakin reasonably suspects misuse.

9. Account Closure

If you close your account with an advance outstanding, you must repay it from your wallet, or the position that secures it will be used to settle it under section 5. Any surplus is returned to your registered payment method.

10. Changes

Anakin may change these Terms with reasonable notice through the app or your registered contact details. Changes apply to advances taken after the change; existing advances continue on the terms they were taken under.

11. Governing Law and Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes are resolved under the Anakin Master Terms of Service.
